More new things.

I am having so much fun making the Victorian stockings. I have 7 done now, and as soon as i get done writing this i will go start another one.

I suppose i could them done faster if i just did them all the same, but the fun for me is to make each one a bit different from the last. And since the 'tag' line for the store is
"A unique collection of old and new", seems only right to have some one- of -a -kind items.

So, above is what i start with: a pile of fabric, trim, pattern i figured out ( how hard can a stocking be?). Add to the mix some jewelry, buttons and any other scraps of anything i can find, and you have the makings of a stocking.
Back to more fun!!

Old Cart $25

Some of you have been emailing asking about the old cart I have.
Here is a photo. It has a metal frame and a very hard "body". I'm not sure what it is made of, but it is thick, and solid and could haul anything. It is not any type of material that would rust.
It is also very heavy. Tires are metal with rubber.

You can click on it and see the details.

What's new and exciting? LOTS!!

snowman SOLD

You've probably already figured out that i like a lot of different things, and you've seen some of my Victorian rose tea paintings, but how about all this primitive?
The top guy is a primitive snowman about 10" wide and 9" high. He's about as rustic as they get,
with his wool scarf, and greenery and tree limbs around him. And he has a big heart!
The old windows over the fireplace are "housing" 2 crackled geese one of my students made.
$15 for the pair!!! (I'll part with the old window frame for another $15). =0)
The 3rd photo is a little Fall area and some items were gone before i even got the photo on here.
Pumpkins: $10-12 , Harvest star $10 (1 left), finials $4, Harvest Box (1 left) $18, lovely one-or-a-kind bowl is $14.
The bottom photo is the fireplace area. The ornament across the front of the mantle are $3-$3.50 and believe it or not, the same gal that did the geese did those delicate ornaments!
The stockings ($4 ea) were hung by the chimney...
Things are changing before i can even get the photos on here.
If you see anything you you are interested in let me know.
Holiday Faire is this weekend and next weekend (Thurs-Sat) 10-6
Come by for a chat. I'd love to show you around.

In the Pumpkin Patch

Here are two more of the stuffed pumpkins i have been making, and there are 3 of my grand kids in "The pumpkin Patch".
The kids thought it was so fun today to take all the pumpkins out of the sack to help me count them for the sale. They each had their favorites, and of course wanted to know if they could keep them.
Since their Mom and I both knew the appeal would wear off really quick (especially since they would not be as fun as a ball, truck, or Polly Pocket) we opted for taking them to sell.
Don't you love how the smallest things bring such delight to children? What a gift they are.
Blessings on your day.

Think Pink and Little Girls

This adorable children's table and two chairs is looking for a new home. It is white with pink printed chair cushions. (I've added the doilies for a little extra 'fluff'.) It is made of heavy iron and will last for years. $85 (was $110, marked down to make room for Christmas)

The tea set for 4 has lavender and pink flowers (25 pieces complete). $25

The teddy on the table (made to match the tea set) is $8.

Pumpkins Galore

As you can see I have been busy, busy, making stuffed pumpkins.
(about 18 now).
The more I did the fancier they got.
The dark colored on is the bottom of a skirt I bought and was too long. There are 2 of them and they turned out so cute I thought about cutting up the rest of the skirt!!
(Decided I needed the skirt more than a few more pumpkins). =0)
I think in these photos the gold colored ones are my favorite. Of course I am partial to Fall colors since I am a redhead.
Pumpkins range from $7-12, depending on size and fabric.
The other photo is of a 'welcome' sign. I do these to order and they are $10.
More new items every day, and Christmas is coming, this week!! (well, thankfully, we are only decorating for it this week, and you have a few more weeks till it actually gets here.) Whew!!
