It's Vintage Thingie Thursday!!!
Check things out here and then go over to
Suzanne's at Colorado Lady, who is our gracious hostess each week.

And Thrift Store Thursday!http://www.homebodyholly.com/

Here are my vintage and not so vintage treasures.
This radio truly is vintage. It is from about 1927.
Has no radio inside, but i think it is just beautiful in design.
(sorry it won't open larger.
I don't know how to get it back to size it should be)

These pics are not vintage,
but i just love the way they look oldish.
HMMM. Wonder how they would look
cream with a dif pic in them??

Another piece that is not vintage,
but is just cool and has a lot of potential.

Oh, how did you get in here!!
You are on me of my thrift store finds.
Well, since you are here I'll just tell you about,
and make this a Thrift Store Thursday post too.
I got this bench, or should i say 'shabby' bench,
at a church sale last weekend.
Would you believe I only paid $1.00 for it??!!

(well i know some of are thinking you
would not have taken it if they paid you!!)
But us shabby girls out there love it!!

OK, now, lets here it from the shabby girls out there!!

Blessings to all of you,
Barbara Jean

  3. How many years does it take to make something "vintage?"

I ask because, the ottoman isn't NEW, so maybe it DOES classify as vintage!!!

    :-)

  14. That bench is unusual with the rack on the bottom. Maybe it always was meant to have plants on it.

  15. Hello, I have the same photos with frames, I got for a 1.00 at thrift store, I spray painted the frame white and then did a black wash over them and put the pics back, cause I like the flowers and they look so much better, there is a pic of them on my blog somewhere..

  24. Hi Barb,
I like your finds, I'm smiling because last weekend I found this cute shoe made into a pin cushion and a small stool with some vintage fabric so I kept material on it and painted the legs white. I will have to share my pictures with you.
    Talk to you soon
