I'm trying to figure out how to make those 1/8" strips of crinkled paper?
(used as filler as above).
Do you use a paper crinkler and then run them through a shredder?
Or is there an all purpose crinkler/cutter on the market??
(and is "crinkler" even a word??)
Or do you just have to buy the stuff??

Crinkle the paper first,
then run it through the shredder.

I have heard of paper crimpers, but don't know anything about them. Easy to BUY some crimped paper in packages!

Buy the stuff in big bags at Hobby Lobby for about 3 bucks! Not worth the trouble to make it I dont think - it comes in all colors at the HL!

ReplyDeleteI had the same question a while ago. I believe there is a machine that crinkles the paper......but I don't know if there is a crinkler AND a cutter. So in the end, I just bought it, but jeepers, it's not cheap if you want different colors.
Now for the crazy confession. One time I shredded pink paper, took it out of the shredder...and piece by piece folded and folded and folded to make my own crinkles.
I am somewhat determined and want what I want.

I crinkle mine then, run thru shredder ..I have a straight shredded so this works well for me....
