Old Clocks
I have had these top two small clocks forever
and have no remembrance of where i got them.
The very top one does not work, but he one
with the 'gems' in it does.
This is my husband's alarm clock form before we got married.
Hmm, could have saved that for Vintage Treasures. =0))
New Clocks
This is what gets my fella up for work in the morning.
"Earn that money so i can shop, hon. "=0))
These two clocks are in our living room.
They weren't really new, just new to us.
They are thrift store finds.

Especially for you clocks
This clock was made for me by my best friend from junior high.
She does beautiful counted cross stitch.
Something i would never have the patience to do!
I guess this is old too, as she did it many years ago for me.
So this is my combined 2nd Time around Tuesday
and my Three or More Tuesday.

ReplyDeleteBarb
Awesome! I love old clocks :) Those are all neat :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Allison
Great clocks, I love the older ones. They have more character to them. So if you are watching the clock isn't better to do it with one that has some character to it?
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara Jean~ Glad you were able to visit me! I will enjoy getting a chance to read your blog! ~Mandy
ReplyDeleteI love clocks too. You have pretty ones especially the first one...Christine
ReplyDeleteYour friend made that clock for you!
ReplyDeleteThat is so incredible!
You have a lotta clocks! But... ahhh have you got the time?
(sorry I couldn't resist some clock humor)
~Really Rainey~
Barbara Jean,
ReplyDeleteHappy 'Three Or More', look at those wonderful clocks! I love clocks too and yours are fabulous.
Have a wonderful Tuesday,
Tam
I just love the old clocks better. To me, they have more style and beauty. But then again, that's how I feel about most old things. Have a great day! While your there, take a look around. ReplyDeleteNeat clocks. You have a great collection.
ReplyDeleteHello Barbara Jean!
ReplyDeleteLovely clocks! The older, the better, is how my taste goes! I do adore the last one - it is very special!!! Have a wonderful day!
Okay, clarify for me what should have been saved for Vintage Finds, your husband or the clock?
ReplyDeleteI think all timepieces are really special. Way back when a family got a clock it was probably quite a big deal. A hand crafted special piece for the home.
I, too, have clocks everywhere. The only problem with this happens twice a year: changing all of them is a pain! Still, I do like at least one clock in every room.
ReplyDeleteI love your clocks... the old ones are SO wonderful! You have such a nice collection. ;))
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection of clocks. I especially like the ones that hang in your living room :0)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to begin a "clock" collection...the old "alarm" clocks that you had to wind up every night before bed...I have one to start :0)
What a fun collection Barbara Jean! I'm with you on the sentiment about earning that money so we can shop :0)
ReplyDeleteBlessings on the rest of your week!
Such beautiful clocks Barbara Jean! Really love the one with the jewels around the outside.
ReplyDeleteYour Clocks are cool!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
hi Barbara Jean!
ReplyDeleteold clocks are cool , I laughed at your hubbys one tho, my dad used to have one very similar, awesome retro!
Great clocks. My only problem with clocks is that they move too fast!
ReplyDeleteMy sister loves clocks too, but since I am time impaired...well, I must rely upon the kindness of others!
ReplyDelete"Are you almost ready?"
"Hurry, we are going to be late!"
sigh
Barbara jean,
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful collection of clocks. No excuses for you to be late for anything!! ;-D
The first two look very old and I just love them!! When I was younger, I always needed a clock alarm to get up in the morning, but now I don't! Hmmm...wonder why?
Wonderful post! Have a great week!
xoxo
Jane
I love clocks, and love seeing yours! I'm with you on counted cross stitch-- I don't have the patience for it, but I love the look of it and am always very grateful when someone gives me a piece of carefully worked embroidery; how wonderful to have that clock from your dear friend!
ReplyDeleteThat first one is adorable -- I'm sure you could get it up and running again!
Cass
Hi Barbara Jean,
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection of clocks! Thanks so much for linking to 2nd Time Around.

Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog. And to answer your question about the english muffin loaf and what makes it rise. Well, I think that the baking soda helps make it the airy texture of english muffins. But the yeast helps also with the rising of the dough.
Great clocks Barbara Jean,
ReplyDeleteI love your babybenny. Have a thing for NOISY ticking clocks. Some people hate them; but it's soothing to me.
Holykisses,
Lea
