Trash To Treasure Tuesday
It's Trash to Treasure Tuesday,
and my friend Kimm is feeling a little down and out.
So I scrounged up a little post to help with her bout..
Most of you know I am the Queen of nests!
I am always looking for 'nesting' material.
So I was out for my morning walk,
and what should i see?
(no not 9 little reindeer!)
But some weeds looking at me!!!
Now this wouldn't be exciting in most peoples books,
but to me this said "nests"
so I took a closer look.

It was tall weeds someone had cut
I picked some up, and to my luck,
when i played a bit,
with straw in hand,
Looked like a great place for a bird to land!
I took it home and set it to dry.
A quick bit of shaping and
my oh my!!
A little nest you can set anywhere.
OK Kimm,
hope these rhymes help your day,
and you'll soon feel creative,
and be on your way!!!
Here's to trash that turns into treasures,
and i didnt' even have to go thriftin' to do it!!

Nest made from my new found material, and
place on some unique pieces,
will soon be listed in my blog shop.
Thanks for lookin' everyone.

That truly is Trash to Treasure.
ReplyDeleteYou and your nests are rubbing off on me. I am suppost to be weeding and there I sit in the garden making birdsnest. There was a robin watching me an the look of dismay on her face was like " no deary that's not how it's done"! I think she said I should visit you for more in depth instructions. Needless to say the weeding is still waiting. LOL Sharon
ReplyDeleteI used to be a crafter yrs ago and then with time and life changes got out of it. But since Ive been strolling thru blogs like yours, my eyes are being opened! I never would think of that for a nest, great idea. And I love that you made such a sweet poem about it too!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute little vignettes! I love anything bird-related. And that sure includes their nests!

Hi Barbara Jean,
ReplyDeleteGuess I need to walk more and look around...LOVE what you did with the grass...I found a bird's nest the other day on the ground with broken blue eggs in it. It's in the garage because I'm worried about mites...so when it freezes its coming in....unless you have a suggestion.
Deb :)
LOVE your sweet little hand crafted nest! You are a sweetheart for cheering up our friend Kimm.
