A TRIPLE COMBO POST!!!!
A little white:
A little white:
and a lot of Big Bingo Cards
Some outdoor white:
From a couple of days ago.
Bee Keepers!!
This was so fun. I happened upon them on my walk.
They had permission from a local farmer,
to have their bees on his property.
Since it was an organic farm,
it was perfect for the bees, she said.
She, was the sister. It was she and her brother-in-law
who were tending to the hives.
Now, I do not know what all the 'tending' entails,
but they had brought a bunch of boxes on their pick-up.
They were going to 'stir up' the bees,
then the bees would leave the hives.
I'm guessing the hives would be emptied of their honey combs then.
But, that is just a guess on my part.
I did not want to keep them from their work.
They graciously let me take some pics,
and soon after i was on down the road, observing from a distance.
Not wanting to be in the vicinity of any "stirred up" bees. =0)
It all added a lot of excitement to my walk that day.
Now, here is some more white,
with a bit of red thrown in.
The red, being some roses for my birthday.

And these are the roses and tin are from our daughter.
The Sees candy is a traditional gift from my sweet fella.
The first few years we were married he would give me a 2 lb. box of
Sees chocolate covered caramels for special occasions.
I finally had to tell him, just a token amount would do.
So now i get 6 Sees chocolate covered caramels for special occasions.
Isn't that great?
So, there is my combo post for this week.
Hope you all enjoyed it, and are having a day that is as lovely as roses,
and as sweet as chocolate covered caramels.
Blessings

Hi Barb. Nice and lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope your birthday celebration is super. WAS super.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're brave...I wouldn't go NEAR bees.
My Wednesday meme photo is now posted. Come on over......
I'm glad you remembered to explain why you chose a bathroom for your shot of your birthday gifts. I was a bit confused. LOL
ReplyDeleteSee's candies are my Hubs favorite, he was raised on them. I had never tasted See's until I met him. Happy belated Birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday...loved the beekeepers...they are so interesting...can't get much better than roses for a gift!!!

LOL...what a thing to request for your birthday (hope it was great!) but I so understand!!
ReplyDeleteI was once a professional beekeeper, it's been many years since I opened a hive...so it was nice to see your post. Too bad you weren't able to stay nearby - there's nothing like the smell of a hive when it's first opened!!!
Thanks for brightening my day :)
Robin
The photos of the bee keeps fascinated me. That's the most beautiful toilet seat I've ever seen :-). I'll bet the brush was gorgeous too. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHi, Barbara Jean ....
ReplyDeleteYou know we are into the "practical romantic" stage when we want new toilet seats or kitchen faucets for our birthdays!!
Hugs to you sweetie! and have super week!
Betty :)

A fun post of three memes. Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you got what you wanted. Kind of funny to photograph the roses on the toilet seat, but I understand why. LOL! See's Candy....yummy. I posted about candy too.
ReplyDeleteBJ, loved seeing the bee keepers. Raining here in TX with cooler temps, so it is beginning to feel like fall. I left my post on the Quimper Club International site for this Outdoor Wednesday. Hope you get a chance to stop by and visit the French Legation here in Austin. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Sounds like you had a great birthday! I too am glad you explained the roses and candy on the toilet. For a moment there I thought maybe you were contemplating flushing them!
Thank you for sharing!
~ Tracy
He Barbara, just thought I'd stop by to say Hi. Love your whites, the bee suits are really cute. That's so sweet of your hubby to bring you chocolets.

Oh, you're too funny - I didn't even notice the toilet until you mentioned it! Sounds like you had a great birthday, especially with two sets of red roses!
ReplyDeleteMy dad used to keep bees back in the 70's - only had one or two hives. Just enough for a few jars of honey for the table! Yum!
