More Fun Finds

This is a fun find I DID NOT come home with.
Why? It had a price tag of $39.00, at a thrift store!!!!
Are they kidding?????
These I did get to bring home.
Pewter? star box, silver sugar and creamer,
cookie cutters, frogs, old domino box with dominoes,
and cool colored light green spool of thread.

close up of the little frogs. only about 1" square and round,
and rectangular one about 1x2".
Love how small they are.
And rust. How cool is that? =)

Close up of cookie cutters.
And here is a new mirror for the store.
I know it is hard to see it,
but it is in great shape, and just the perfect creamy color.

Thanks for coming by.

Blessings

  5. I have yet to find any frogs in thrift stores that are affordable. I love the little ones you found.

I thought it was just me, but I'm noticing so many thrift stores are steadily increasing their prices. I think it has something to do with all the DIY happening on blogs, and knowing that if somebody wants their items enough, they'll pay for them.

I've been seeing those lanterns for about $35 here lately too. I used to be able to pick them up for about $10 each all last summer.
Even our Goodwills are going up in their pricing. I've seen several used things in there priced at the regular new store prices, and in some cases, more.

In any case, thrifting will still never lose it's appeal to me.

I enjoy seeing all your treasures.

  7. THIRTY NINE dollars?!?! Obviously, someone fell and bumped their head just before pricing the lantern. Purrsonally, I purrfer what you did come home with!!! Tiny flower frogs with rust?!?! Oh yes!!!!! Only thing better would be some real frogs! Nah, never mind, "she" would hurt me if I hurt a real frog....

    Purrs!
