I got these little spools of bobbin thread at an estate sale.
Awfully cute, but so new looking.
So I 'aged' one up a bit bu rubbing it over my ink pad.
They are just cardboard on the ends.
Anyone know what they were for?
Regular sewing machines?
Never seen ones that were not metal or plastic before.
I think they will be cute in little jars.
How would you display them?
and more.....

My grandmother used to own an upholstery shop & she had a heavy duty sewing machine -I can't remember exactly which brand but I remember her using those types of bobbins in it.

Your bobbins are a great find. They are used in regular sewing machines and longarm machines. You can take the paper off to use. I think they look great grungy! I came across a box at the thrift store and thought I found gold..lol

Wow... that takes me back. I can remember selling those bobbins a few years back. We had a craft supply business and folks used that type of thread for stringing beads. Thanks for the memories!!!
