A whole bunch of old Girl Scout pins....
It's going to fun, and a challenge to find out about these...
That is part of what I love about this business..
learning new things.
Just strips of torn fabric
stamped with pleasant thoughts.
all for today.

Barbra… Love all the treasures inside the box. Just priceless
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love those Girl Scout pins- what great find! Your torn and stamped fabric strips are just adorable.
ReplyDeleteI recognize the pin in the top left hand corner. It looks similar to the Brownie pin I had in the 60s.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara- The blue and gold pin is the world association pin for Scouts. The gold ones with the numbers attached they would receive for every five years they were a registered scout. The stars also tells how many years- they usually have a disc that would sit behind it and the color told you how many years as a Brownie, Junior, Senior, etc. I have been a Scout for over 30 years- you have some neat treasures!!
ReplyDeleteLove old jewelry boxes, I have my mother's old one like this tucked away in a tote in the closet. Love the girl scout pins, but you have Brownie ones in there, too.
ReplyDeleteSome are for attending Girl Scout Jamboree days. Have fun looking them up. The little stars are service pins- for how many years you are in.
the pins bring back memories from long ago:) neat finds, barb!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of pins! I tear cotton into ribbons also. Very relaxing hobby to have! Love that rusty, crusty treasure in the post earlier.
ReplyDeleteFun little pins!! Great find :)
