This is what I made for my Mom who has everything.
It is just a simple bookmark.
On one side is her favorite poem, Trees, by Joyce Kilmer.
On the other, Ps 23, her favorite Bible chapter.
This works great. A token of my love for her,
and something that does not take up much room as they are downsizing.
Many Blessings to all you Mom's out there.
Hugs and smiles,
barbara jean

That is such a lovely idea Barb - just the perect size and not more "stuff" to have to deal with. I am sure your Mother will be touched by this precious gift.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend~~~

What a lovely idea!!! The tree poem made me think of another version of it:
ReplyDeleteI think that I shall never see
A Billboard lovely as a tree;
Indeed unless the Billboards fall
I'll never see a tree at all!
For a while, billboards were almost disappearing, but now with all the new fangled billboard technology out there now, this poem might very well become true once more.
I love your bookmarker it looks authentic- like it is really vintage- amazing, and beautiful that you used her favorite poem and verse. Have a beautiful weekend. Sincerely, Jonny
