An old iron gate.

Thrifty Thursday

vintage thingies thursday

Just a quick post today, as I am busy busy getting the store ready for tomorrows sale.

"VINTAGE" Buttons

Ever need vintage buttons for a project,
but had nothing but new ones that were the right size?

Try this:

I just take some black or brownish paint and dob on them.
That alone takes the shiny look off.
Want av even more oldish look?

Go outside and scoop up a bit of very fine dirt.
Dab a bit more paint on the button,
and dob the dirt around.
Shake off any extra.

Wah la!!
"Vintage', at least looking, buttons. =0))

And here is a bit of Vintage for you.

This was a display in the window of an antique store we went into on vacation.

Isn't he too adorable??

Here is hi best side. Taken from outside through the window.

Thanks for coming by.
Blessings on your day.

Barbara Jean

Be sure to check out my other posts the last couple of days

I found a new site, and a new fun theme.

It is the Boardwalk Bragfest over at
Bobby pins Boardwalk
hosted by Jan.

So, I was going to save these for Get R Done Friday,
but could not wait.

These are my newest framed art pieces.

Most of you know how much i like to incorporate nature into my art.
And I love old music paper, cheesecloth, keys, buttons and lace.
So here it all is incorporated in these pieces.

These are listed in my store.
Go HERE to shop..

Also, if you would like to see my White or Red or outdoor Wednesday,
you can go here.

Now, go find something to brag about, and get hooked up over at Jan's.

and what ya working on Wednesday

Wednesday, one of my favorite days!

Here is a mix of all the red, white, outdoor, and what ya' workin' on pics from the last week.

Here is a what ya workin on,
and some white.

This is the mantle at the store. I'm getting ready for Christmas.

Another bit of white I'm workin' on.

This is a 'yippee' white!

I've not had the lace and buttons i needed for some projects.
Been looking all over at stores and thrift shops for flat lace.
No luck!

Well, try looking in your won craft room at home.
Yes, can you believe it?
I had stashed a bunch of stuff in my sewing room, and found it last night.

Buttons, lace, and 'goodies'!!
I'm pumped!!
And wait till you see what i am making!

Here is an empty white cupboard that needs decorating.
Come back Friday to see I Got R Done!

Another bare white space.
I have 2 days to get this all put together for my sale.

OOOOH. How about some outdoor red.

Can you believe the size of this fire hydrant?
Glad the dog that uses it was not around. =))

(Was that too ? to say in blog land?)

And how about this adorable fire enginve?
It was in the crafter's mall we went to.
Can you believe someone makes these?

And of course you need to 'fill r up' somehwere,
so they made a gas pump to go with it!

That's all my treasures for today.

Thanks to all our wonderful hostesses.

Have a wonderful week!!

Blessings and smiles,

barbara jean

Setting up a Web Site

OK all my friends out there in blogger land.

I have had my web site name reserved for a year now,
(so I would have the same name as my blogs).

My daughter is learning to set up web sites for her job, and i get to be her guinea pig.

How do we even start?
Choose a host?
Who do you recommend?
(this will be my selling site but i will keep my 3 blogs).

It will just be simple, nothing over the top.

Need a banner and background (free would be nice).
Should i keep the same types my blogs?
Roses and soft colors?
(sometimes it's me, and sometimes not).
Whatever i choose, stick with it?
Or change it when the urge hits?

I know of several sites i love for how their 'store' is set up,
but do you think i can even remember who they are right now? no!

So send me some help now, but remember, you are talking to a rookie here.

Blessings and thanks

Barbara jean
BACK FROM VACATION

second time around tuesday

Three or More Tuesday

Three or More Tuesday

We had a great vacation.
Equal parts, shop, craft, and golf. =0)

I shopped, and crafted, and my sweet fella golfed.

This is the little table i had to craft on while at the time share.
Believe it or not, I had about 6 projects going on there
at the same time. =0))
(that is one of my 3 or mores.)

Here are three views from our 5th floor room.

It overlooked the golf course...

Beautiful huh?
And yes, that is sunshine!
It was nice most of the week before the rain found us.
(we were just 4 hours from home, and in Oregon, it can rain anytime!!)

Here is another 3 or more, and my second time around.
These are the 13 windows i got, and have not even taken them out of the car yet!
(nowhere to put them. Shop is all torn up, and storage full!)
We have only been home 2 days, so they are just fine in there,
till i need room to put more 'stuff' i buy. =0)

I can hardly wait to get some of them made up into my 'project'.
Maybe a 'get r done' in a couple of weeks. =0))

Blessings all and have a super week.

Barbara Jean

PS In case you are wondering, on top of the windows is an old radio cabinet,
and an old truck. Cool color huh?
