Hearts and Flowers and Projects Galore!!

Don't ya' just love this rock??

It's part of the art my brother has collected
and done in his yard.
Check it out.
None of these are glued together.

Gorgeous white tulips.

This is where my sweet fella and I have dinner sometimes in the summer.
It is in the front yard.
We just sit and watch people go by, and kids playing.
And we enjoy the flowers.

What am I workin' on? Cleanin' up my workroom.

What am I braggin' about?
One shelf done!!!

WOOHOO!!!

What else have i been doing?
tea staining work gloves...

making nests....

lots of nests.

Takes lots of cottonwood tree bits to get enough
to fill even these little nests.
See the tiny one in the middle?
It is only 1" across!

And heeere comes.....

Some red......

for you!!

Another cute mailbox!!

More Tea Bag Roses??

What do you do with aaaaalll these tea bag roses?
(Many more than 3!)

Make bouquets!!
(tutorial for my Tea Bag Roses)

You'll need:
Tea Bag Roses
small piece of cheesecloth
little ribbon
glue gun

Instructions:
Cut about any shape of cheesecloth,
big enough to lay your roses on and a little to wrap around.

Lay the roses on,
hot glue together.
Wrap the cheesecloth around to the front.

Tie your little ribbon or lace on.
Wallah!
Instant bouquet!
Now try it with 5 roses. My fave.

I love these as little token gifts,
added to package tops, or you could even
give them with a tiny piece of chocolate.
Who could ask for more than a bouquet of roses, and candy? =)

These little roses are also sweet glued on top of little
match boxes covered with paper.
(also cute with little pearls or gems tucked in)
Not shown.

And we are tooting out horn about opening up
Tea & Treat areas at the store.

Bouquet of roses from a friend for our new adventure,
and 2 year anniversary celebration.

One of our little seating areas.
Maybe I should make this the Paris corner.
Will need to come up with some more 'Frenchy' stuff I guess. =)

OK, my second time arounds, nifty thrifty,
and Trash to Treasure, are the recovered chairs.
Fabric from a garage sale.
They aere curtains,lined no less.
Great deal since the chair seats were bright orange!!

Pleas go visit these other great blogs and see what everyone else is doing!

Thanks for coming by.

Dryer Sheet Roses??

Aren't these gorgeous?

They are by Lori, at

Katie's Rose Cottage

They are roses she did as her
own lovely version of my tea bag roses.
They are made from dryer sheets!

She gives complete wonderful instructions at her place.
Click on her name above to get straight to it, then be
sure to take a look around.
She has the most beautiful blog.
I always have a wonderful time when i go visit.

thanks for sharing Lori.

Blessings all.

Just a little note on my tutorial:
I have started using glue sticks and toothpick to glue my roses as I go.
No burnt fingers!!!!
And you get to use that last little bit of glue you
can never get out of the bottom of the stick. =)

Widget Fever... OOPS!

I've got Widget Fever.
(maybe not called a widget, but a button with a code)

I want a widget for my blog!
You know, so if anyone wants to send people here there will be an easy way to do it?
Or so I can trade widgets?
Or whatever you do with them?

Something that represents my blog, represents 'me'. =)

Any advise?

Pros, cons?

What sites have some of you used to make yours?

I'm thinking maybe this pic ?

Please, help, before I go bonkers!

Not really going bonkers, Just trying to make you smile. =)

Have a super day!!

Chair Transformation

Remember this?

It started out like this
and I made a cover for it.

Well, I had two more.

So I did this.

(Fleur de Lis coming)

(to cover chair, just cut a piece of fabric to fit, and staple on bottom!)

then I added this little vignette to a table.

And then I did this little grouping.
(Tea & Treats for two anyone?)

That's what I have been doing to make my world a little sweeter.

And here is a Thrifty Treasure:

And some blue for you.
(my workroom in process).

A long way to go,
but I'm plugging away on it!

Have a wonderful Monday everyone.

Some Simple Silver

Silver Sunday Starts Soon!

Don't have much to share today,
but I took a pic cause I wanted to play.

A tarnished lid on a button jar,
some sliver spoons from very far.

Some scissors, and an old watch face,
and a beautiful piece of white lace.

(no the lace is not silver,
but needed to rhyme something!!) =)

Please go check out all the wonderful silver pics at Gypsy Fish,
and have super day.
Special blessings to all you Mom's!
