Blissful Whites Wednesday

this is a roll of vintage lace I just got....
Not real vintage...from 70's or 80's.
Wonder how many yards are on on this roll..
it is about 12" across.
The piece behind it on the card is 1970's French lace.
and a non-white roll of rusty wire. =)
old jars I just got. Cold Cream, Hand cream, and unlabeled rusty lid jar.
love it! =)
 LOVE this old clock.
No clock works in it, but oh so cool.
It is about 10" across.
cute kids chair....yummy and chippy...
I might have shown you this already, but here is my.....
new vintage crib at the shop.....
isn't it sweet??

even better filled with treasures.
(my granddaughter did this display for me.)

Fun Finds!!!

Here are some of my newest finds..
and a little vignette to share.
I got these two shabby, peely wicker chairs last weekend.
I man they are really peely!
Paint flakes off to the touch.
Trying to decide what color to paint them....
thinking maybe the pale green of the stove behind them.
What do you think??
 LOVE this treasures.
It is an old chipper.
Perfect flower display, and it rolls!!
 sweet little vignette of treasures.
Love the picture of the older couple.
 some other little treasures.
and this clock, which I LOVE!!!
Does not run, but sure is cute and different.

Thanks for coming by.

Glitze, Rust, and a Unique Mirror

It's white Wednesday.
One of my fave days!!
Love this small chandelier, all glitzy and shiny.

And of course there has to be a little rust.
You know how I love rust!

This old scale is perfectly creamy and rusty!

Do you like this clock?
It is the clock from an old range.

This is a mirror, about 6x8".
What's special you say?
The frame on it is clear plastic.
I've never seen one like it.

Thanks for coming by for White Wednesday.
For more white treasures go see Kathleen at Faded Charm.

Found Treasures and a Little Creating!

In honor of Sally, for Blue Monday,
I bought some old blue enamel bowls.
"So glad you are feeling better girl!!"
Some of you know I make my own nests.
Well, this one is not hand made by me,
but a real nest my daughter found on the ground
of their new property.
It is huge!

And I found the perfect rustic way to display it.
It is one of those old Sterno heat dishes.
(there must be a more official name for it than that.)

Here are some bead trims I bought.
I don't really use them much in my art,
but they were too cool, and affordable to pass up.
Hard to see the white ones below,
but they would be really cute on a lamp shade.
I bought this old clock at a garage sale.
I think someone has redone the face, but
I still thought it was good, and it runs.
And it 'dongs' and I did not know it.
Problem is......
I have the key but do not know how to set it. =/
I finally took some time to create. Felt sooo good!!
I made another "Remember" sign.
This one is framed in a more ornate frame than usual,
and painted cream, and antiqued.
(I usually do black frames)
I love how it turned out.

And, my granddaughter, 10, my garage sale buddy,
couldn't figure out hwy I even looked at this old box.
And I did wonder what was in it that
made it worth $20!!
(I got it for a tad bit less)
But you will have to come back to see what is in it.
Maybe you can tell me if I got a good deal, or not.

Blessings!!
Oh, I just want to say, I sooo appreciate all of you who visit.
Your comments are an encouragement that keeps me going.

Have a super week!!

A Little Blue Monday & New Fun Finds

A little bit of Blue for Blue Monday.
Sally (of Blue Monday fame) is recuperating,
but doing some blue in honor of her anyway. =)
Old Blue crackled tea pot,
a handmade tea cozy from vintage linens,
light blue ceramic creamer,
and don't miss those tiny little blue cups in the back.
Our little birthday girl, sweet Ava, in blue dress
made by her other Grammy!

New creative treasures at the store,
all tucked into an old cash drawer from the circus.
(click to enlarge and see details on paper in lid)

Fun hook/hanger all patina perfect.
What do you think it was used for??

And another new clock.
I Love clocks!!

Blessings everyone.

And get well Sally!!
