Two Tuesday Tutes, Threes and Scores

I have not had much time for crafting, or for doing new posts lately, but I do just HAVE to share with you again, my friend Diane's blog. (Diane Knott's Musings)

She has been doing the sweetest tags, now butterflies, and lavender sachets.
I'm linking you to the butterfly tutorial, but please take time to stroll through the rest of her blog from time to time. You will be amazed at the beauty of her work, and blessed by her willingness to share.

And here is a little something from me, for those who have not seen it before.
It is a tutorial on my mini teabag roses.

Fun finds and two more mores:
Basket of buttons and goodies, only two dollars!

Souvenir spoons.
I never even thought about having these in different countries.
But this batch I got had several from other lands.

Thanks for joining me today for these special events.
Please go check out these lovely blogs and see more goodies.

blessings on your day

Sweet Pink & and a Project For You

Some pink treasures from our latest garage sale outing.

I'm keeping an eye out for pretty tea cups.....

And tea pots.....

because we are going to start having Tea & Treats at the store!!!

I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!!!

We will just have 3 or 4 little tables set up,
and only serve two at each table, for lack of space.
It will just be tea, and a pre wrapped muffin or ?,
due to a non certified kitchen on the premises.
That's OK.
We're gonna' have ball anyway!

And here is my most fave
(and most expensive) tea pot.
I fell in love with this and had to have it,
even though it was much more than I usually spend.
Isn't it beautiful?

OH MY WORD!!

What are these?
They are certainly not pink!!

But if you take those,
and this...

and these...

You get this!!!

Yes, my mini match boxes with mini tea bag roses
have turned pink!

I'm lovin' the change in color!

That is it for today.

Besides a wonderful Pink Saturday,
I hope you all have a Blessed Easter,
as we celebrate out risen Lord!!

Barbara jean

Thanks Beverly, and Donna, for hosting.

Thrifty Birthday Idea, Thrifty Art Treasures

Another mini match box with my mini teagbag roses on it.

Clothespin Jar.
Top wrapped with twine.
Bow added.
(still needs something. A tag?? Saying??)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our son turned 40 the 17th.
Tonight was our birthday dinner for him.
His sister had a great idea, and we helped pay for it.
Bunches of 40 things.
She is so very creative, and not much spent on some of this.
Jelly Bean "teeth removers"
M & M's daily vitamins
40 pistachios- tough nuts to crack.
40 prunes (they gave these to me!!) =0/
40 jokes about turning 40
And the gift really was these 40 scratch it tickets.
(not a usual purchase, but perfect for him.)
And you can do this for any age.
Didn't she do a great job?
And here are my thrifty treasures this week.
A box of goodies.
Lets see what is in here:
An assortment of kitchen goodies.
Art Pieces, Mini Boxes, and a New Display
Ps 139 Jar.
I've been out of these for awhile.
Hard to find just the right jars.
Ps. 139:17,18 is one of my favorite scriptures.
It's how much God thinks of us:
More than there are grains of sand.
Amazing!!
I showed these little match boxes yesterday,
with my tea bag roses on top.
Today I dry brushed the edges with black,
and lined the bottom with felt.
This one has 4 little vintage buttons in it.
These buttons are only 1/4" wide!
That's how small the box is. =)
I added a little pearl to this one to finish it.
I'm so glad little miss frugal here,
has save all those little pieces of this and that.
Just enough for these little boxes.
And here is a sweet little vignette.
Can you imagine a little vintage treasure in that sweet box?
Here is a new nest in a wire container.
I lined it with burlap, and set the nest on top.
Then I ran some big jute through
the holes and tied a know it front.
I love the nest and burlap together, and will
be doing more of this combination.
Here is a closeup of the nest.
(seeing this pic has given me another idea!!)
And a closeup of the container with jute knot.
We've been changing the store around,
and moved the black and silver to the hall.
Picture is a little dark, but I think if
you click on the pic you can still take a look around.
My Victory of the week:
WE FINISHED THE TAXES!!!!
Done, finished, sent in!!
A deep sigh of relief, and ready to get on with life.
Blessings to all who visit here.
I so enjoy seeing you have come by.
