OK, here they are.
A few finds from big garage sale yesterday.
My first fishing reel for the store.
Know nothing about them, this one just
caught my eye.
And that black thing to left of it??
They told me it is for knocking the hot coals off
partly burnt wood in the stove.
another little sewing treasure box....some scissors
(no clue what they are for)
And a book of 25 old, unused New York postcards.
found another old copper syrup warmer.
Just sold the last one, so great timing.
a bucket of blocks and toys.
and last, but most fun maybe, is this box of sewing stuff.
Cannot wait to open it up and check it out.
Thanks for coming by.
More tomorrow.
blessings and happy Monday

Goodness you have some beautiful treasures here! I really enjoyed stopping by and I hope your week is wonderful! Hugs Anne
"Great Stuff"!!! You did well Girl!!! First picture to the left is from an old stove...I actually remember my Mom using it on our first stove... It had a function, BUT I don't think it was what you mentioned(Not that it couldn't be used for that). The middle thingy is a fishing reel... Those little scissors are SO DARLING! They would be SO Functional to have around, Especially when the ladies did so much needlework...
Love all you great finds...Thanks for giving us a peek at them!
Hugs,
Donna
i have a pair of scissors just like that but my handle are a pale yellow. not sure what that were original used for but i use them to cut twine in the garden. great stuff!

Barbara Jean you found some nice treasures. I love when I run across sewing treasures at yard sales.
Wonderful finds Barbara Jean, the scissors are used for snipping herbs. I have the exact pair they really come in handy. I love the postcards...

I would guess those little scissors are embroidery scissors. At least from the picture that's what they look like. Interesting finds.
Lots of great goodies, Barbara Jean! I think the scissors are for floral use...
These are so great! Love the syrup warmer and I love finding containers of sewing things!
Hop over today and grab my starfish featured button for your blog...it's located under my header/my button page. Yes...you have been featured at NIFTY THRIFTY TUESDAY. Love the scissors.
