Welcome to Silver Sunday!
Be sure to join in and show us your 'stuff'. =0))
The picture above is just a lid. I do not have the bottom. Never did.
Just saw the lid at a sale and had to have it.
Someday I will find a piece to go with it.
Isn't it great?

And here is about as plain as simple as it gets,
but I love it!
Just the simplicity of it is it's beauty.
Oh, and wait till you see this!
Remember the beautiful sugar bowl last week?
The one with the "H" on it?
Well, digging around in my back storage room
I found the server that goes with it.
Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?
Not only does it have beautiful style and shape,
but look at the drape design across
the top.
And there is the "H".

Here are a couple of filigree pieces.
Love how dainty they are.
Here is the same design but on a pedestal.OK now all you silver experts, I need some help.
You probably think this is silly since I have a store and all,
but I am just learning as I go, and know nothing about silver.
So, I wrote down what two of the pieces say on them,
and wondered if you could tell me if they are anything special or not.
Both the filigree pieces are Lovelace.
On the pedestal one it says
1430
EPNS
then there is acrown, or pot or somtihng then
International Silver Company.
Then I want to ask about this beautiful piece.
It is a large oval serving piece.
There is a HEAVY piece of glass on the top that is divided into sections.
The silver has cute little feet on it, and the pieces
can be used together or individually.
On the bottom it says:
LEONARD Silver
(not sure if it is Leonard, but one letter is faded and hard to tell)
Then there are pics of a crown, a shied with LS on it, and then a Lion.
under that it has EP
Anyone know what that all means??
(oh do hope it is OK I am asking all of you.)
That is the end of My Sunday Silver post, but wait!

Hello Barbara Jean, the silver is beautiful. The filigree pieces are great. I also collect pretty lace. I enjoy using old wooden bobbins to display my lace. I wish I knew more about different laces. sandi
love you pieces this week...hey I sometimes find really pretty lids that have no vessel and I hang them on walls in groups...works great to hang towels etc...or just in a large group to fill space.
thanks for coming!...See you next Sunday!

Hi Barbara Jean, Your coffee pot is very beautiful and the lid is pretty too. I'm sure you will find a lovely plate to use it with. As far as I know EP means "Electro Plated" and EPNS "Electro Plated Nickel Silver". I have a link for you about Leonard Silver:

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs and love, Julia
Love all your silver. The lid is so nice, understand why you had to have it. As for all the markings, I am very new to it all myself, I do think the EP stands for electroplated. I have some pieces and I might try to Google the markings. Hope someone can tell you more.
Your silver is all just gorgeous. The coffee pot is stunning as well as all the other pieces. I don't have any idea what all the symbols mean, I sure hope someone can help you. All that lace is just fabulous. So pretty. Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Marty
Beautiful silver! I like the 'lid' you have posted in the first pic...I would be on a mission to find a bottom for that one!
Tami

Well, I don't know much about silver, but Leonard is a Silver company. You can go to replacements.com and type in the names and you can learn about the companies and prices of your pieces if they have them.

Laura
What beautiful pieces you have. I love that lid too...just keep looking a bet you'll find a bottom that will work. The coffee serveer is just gorgeous too!
Miss Bloomers
I actually own a lot of odd lids in glass, silver and copper. I custom match them to bowls and other dishes I find. Makes it more fun, don't you think.
that monogrammed teapot is stunning! i love the filigree pieces too.
Your silver pieces are wonderful. I love the monogrammed teapot!! I wish I knew more about silver to help answer your questions but I'm of no help tonight.
Jane
Your silver pieces are gorgeous...that teapot is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen!
Happy SS to you!

Wonderful silver collection...love the coffee pot, but the little lid is my favorite.
Barbara Jean, I'm right there with you on the abandoned lid. I've got a whole group of little lost faience lids. I'd never pass one up. They are often little works of art in their own right, especially if they have a finial. See you again next week....Sarah
