Vintage Laundry Treasures

I'm redoing a little corner in the cottage room
and making an old fashioned laundry corner.

You can click the pic to make it larger and see more detail.

Here is a very small washboard. I put a tiny nail in it
and used it to hang this old Stain Removal booklet....

on top of old ironing board is a smaller board,
and also an old iron...very heavy, and some clothespins and thread spools.

Love putting clothespins in any old tin I can find...

old clothespins and what nots....

Some sewing items seem to fit in, too..
and baby shoes, well they go anywhere...

and there is a basket of needlepoint books,
and other sewing goodies too.

.

Here are some little friends hanging out, too.

Thanks for visiting.

Blessings

This post is just amazing! I wish I lived closer and that shipping rates weren't so extreme! Love the old washboard and the way you used the one as a hanger for the stain removal booklet!

What a wonderful little area!! I have a collection of "wash" type stuff in my laundry room...but sadly the room needs some TLC...it tends to be my "storage area". Wish it looked like this :)

I used to collect vintage wash boards but we never had a great place to hang them so I ended up selling them at a garage sale. Yours make me smile!

I want to come play with you so bad! I love this one. I did one like it years ago, but you got cooler stuff.

My aunt left me two of the irons that you had to heat up in order to do your ironing... one white and one black. How do I use them? As weights, when working with paper or for book binding. They're just wonderful! Loved seeing all your treasures and what a cute idea to turn some of them into a darling vignette!
