Yes, It's Thursday again, and time for
showing my vintage finds.

Take a look around then go over

to Suzanne's at Colorado Lady.

Thanks for hosting Suzanne!!!

These lamps are part of a car full of great finds from last weekend.
(did not get pics taken of others so you'll
have something to look forward to next week!) =0)
These vintage lamps were only $1.00 each!!!

This my "can you believe it?" vintage post for today.

This is a Nehru style from the 60's.
Remember the long wide sleeves,
the stand up collar,
and all the buttons down the front?

I wear it as a top now....

but then....

I wore it as a dress!!
It was what i had on the first time my fella saw me.
(come on now. I was 20, what did
you expect me to be wearing?)

Two weeks after the party where we met,
we were married.
That was 40 years ago!!

Not all a piece of cake.
but we muddled through the rough spots,
and learning more and loving deeper as we grow.

Blessings and have a great Thursday
Barbara Jean

You look so cute...I remember this fashion. All you need is a good pair of black tights and you are in. I couldn't get into my close from this time...too fat!
So fun! Mary

Oh Barbara Jean, you sweet thing you. Love your Top/Dress. You can still wear it after all these years, and you still have the legs for it. You dated a short amount of time also. My DH and I met, dated 2 months, and got married, we have been married for 34 years. He's a keeper. He told me he liked my back pockets. Men!! Such a lovely post. Thanks for sharing. Shopgirl is right ... black tights & you are right back in designer fashion once again. We were only engaged 2 weeks, went together for a total of 4 weeks & were married. Keeps things interesting. TTFN ~Marydon

re: wearing black tights:
I did have it on with black tights, but the short length did not show up, so changed.
That look may be fine for 20 year olds, but at 60, I'll stick with a skirt or pants to wear it with.
thanks for all your kind comments.

Next week, more vintage clothes, but not so risque. =0)

hugs and blessings,
Barbara Jean

I remember nehru shirts! Thanks for the memory. My husband and I went out for 7 years before we were married. That's taking it way too far the other way!
