IT'S PINK SATURDAY!!!
Check it out here, then go over to Beverly's
@ how sweet the sound

and see all the other wonderful pinks for today.

Here is my first little pink.
It is a crocheted book mark my Mom made.
She makes these and doilies for my store here.

And speaking of doilies,
here is one she did.

This may not seem very special because
a lot of people make doilies.

But, if you consider this tea set is less than 2" tall,
and that this doily is only about 2 1/2" around, that makes it special.

And what makes it even more special,
is that i said how cute it would be to have
tiny little doilies to go with several of the tiny little tea pots
I have at the store,
and the next day when i came she had some done!

They are just so tiny, and sweet,
and she made them to match the tea pots i have.

That was my sweet pink story,
now for my funny pink story.

------------------------

I have a friend here in town,
and we have been friends since Junior High.

The other day i was at her garage sale,
and she gave me a small bag of doll clothes
to give to my granddaughters.

When i got home i went through the bag
and found a couple of cute things.

The fabric looked somewhat familiar.
Upon closer examination,
I discovered i had actually made them!

You know, you can recognize your own work?
Mine work was never as nice my friends.
(When it came to sewing, she did it perfectly!!)

So somehow, I had either made her girls some doll clothes,
or given her some of my daughters when she was done with them.
But, there they were.
When i told my friend we both agreed how weird that was.

Moral to that story?
I have no clue, just thought it was fun,
and a good thing to share on Pink Saturday.

Have wonderful Pink Day,
and let some yellow sun shine in your day too.

Blessings,
Barbara Jean

I made some doll clothes for my niece when she was into American Girl dolls many years ago. I kind of thought that when my daughter got into American Girl we would get the hand-me-downs, but not so...I don't think my sister wanted to let go of them. LOL! What fun to find your own work like a treasure in the bag!

Happy Fourth of July and Pink Saturday rolled into one!
Erin :)
