Thanks for hosting ladies!!!
Here is a little shiny blue jewelry, made by one of my vendors.
The blue crocheted cross is one my Mom made.
I stand corrected: This is a tatted cross.
(I just confused it with one my Mom made.)
Thank you Ruby. =0))
A fun book, "the Scented Room".
All kinds of potpourri mixes, and oils.
Beautiful pictures inside too.
Now how is that for variety on a Blue Monday.
OK now here are my thrifty treasures.
No, this is not a mistake.
This pile of old tool boxes was free. That is pretty thrifty.....
Here is the story behind all these boxes.
A huge old warehouse, divided into 3 huge dirty old yucky rooms.
I mean really dirty, yucky, dusty, greasy dirty rooms.
I loved it!!
On the far left was a
'free' area.
That's where i got these.
Now I know some of you wonder what on earth i will do with these.
Well, I love rusty, and rustic,
so i may just leave them.
or... I may turn them in to something else!!
We'll see. =0))
In the center room were rows and rows of tables
with tools, and this and that and everything.
We could have spent two days there going through them all.
The fella said just throw some things in a box and he'd give us a good deal.
Well.. someone elses idea of a good deal, and my idea, are not always the same,
so i always do a 'test' box.
If that's is a good deal, then i keep shopping.
If not, i thank them kindly and leave.
(that's my shopping tip today). =0))
Well, you tell me, is $1 a box a good deal??
You bet it is!!
These are 2 of my boxes.
I was so excited i took the pics while they
were in the car so i could show you this morning.
I'll set all 6 boxes up later and let you see all my goodies!!
In the bottom of this old tool box are frames,
rutly scissors, knobs and hinges.
And well, in these boxes a there are a multitude of things
i cannot even remember till i get them out.
How's that for thrifitn'?? =0))
Blessings on your day, and lots of smiles and good thriftin'.

At $1.00 per box, I think you made MORE than a great deal! You found such a variety of stuff- can't wait to see what your inventiveness brings to the transformation process!

Barb, thanks for sharing the blue and the thrifty treasures. I have a copy of THE SCENTED ROOM. It's a lovely book. I, too, am looking forward to the Rooster Party. Thanks for the visit to Hyacinths. Hope to see you again. I'll be back here for more visits.

I used to make stained glass. A neighbor taught my brother and I. That was in the 70's. It was fun, as I recall. I like your blue piece.
