I took these really cool pics on our vacation
to Klamath Falls a couple of weeks ago.
These are old....something or others...
that they used to roll logs down into the lake, or "mill pond" to store them.
Maybe it is how they got them up too.
(view from top looking down onto lake.
(it is not as far down as it looks, just the camera angle.
probably only about 20'.)
another view.
This was a little bridge for the rail cars from one area to another.
weathered wood......
and rusty bolts.
OK, all you experts out there.
Now you can let me have it with how
these really did work and what they were called.
I just enjoyed the rust and shape of it all. =)
Silly post I know, but I so loved these pictures
and hope someone else will enjoy them too.

These are awesome pictures. Oh yes, I love the rust and the interesting shapes. If you didn't mention anything about them, I would have guessed that they were part of an old roller coaster; in a way they are.
It's not silly at all sweet Barb! I love the gorgeous textures and colors. The bird feeder cans came from a magazine a long time ago...it was one of those pages I ripped out because I loved it so much! I hope you are doing great dear friend, hugs and love, Dawn

Looks like you had a blast on your vacation. Love the rust...as you know!
I have no idea what they are called but it is always nice to get away, see new sights, discover something different and see a bit of history. Looks like you just that. Hope your day is a good one. Tammy
I have no idea what they are called but I like them, too. I imagine they weigh a ton!! Such interesting shapes and textures. I love the old wood...goodness!! And something that you don't see everyday so thanks for sharing. ;)
I'm a rust lover too. I have lots of pieces that I just seal the finish on. Great pics.
Hey Barbara Jean,
It is the texture and the color that we love plus the worn character...Pretty photos!
Have a great weekend!

I think they were called timberslides. I love rust and weathered wood. Love these photos. You may find out more information if you search for the place you were at.
Rust is one of my favorite colors.
Have a great weekend!
