This coming weekend, my friends and I are having another 

 Vintage Marketplace.

We have 13 wonderful vendors signed up with vintage goods, Creative art, and some Frenchy French too.

Take a look  at some of these treasures.....

game pieces and other treasures for the creative person.

We will also have wonderful shabby furniture, French decor, handmade aprons....with style....

and several booths of vintage and antique treasures. 

There will also be treats made by my granddaughter.

 Proceeds go toward her college fund...

New Treasures

 will you look at this find!!!
A Suzy Homemaker stove. too cute. less than 18" tall
and works. This was gone before I got a price tag on it.

 Got this new metal cabinet by Lyon Company.
1949

 locking door......
now a display piece at the store.

 This cool old scoop, used to scoop cement looks like.

 How about this leather satchel.
Love this!!! Pretty messy inside, but great to put on a shelf, or
how about a plant in it for the patio?

 and this special find.
Not too impressive looking I suppose.
But what if I told you it is part of a 75 year old....

curtain stretcher??
Yep. I've never heard of it either.
But fun treasures for art or creative wall hanging.
They measure from 46" to 57",
and there were 8 of them in the box.
Some even have a lip on the edge and could hold scrabble tiles....
I see some fun projects coming!!

Game Pieces and Creative Fun

 New games and creative display at the store.

 see those burgundy colored scrabble tiles?? 

 lots of fun numbers in this game.

 Those are Reno Keno cards in background. 

They are fun when cut up for tags.

I think everyone should have an old Rook game around.

The crow on the cards is so fun. =)

 scrabble tiles...motel keys......

 dominoes, flash cards, words, numbers,

buckles, typewriter parts....all kinds of fun.

and more words and letters.

Now, just to find time to play!!!  =)

Heavy Treasures for the Garden

          

My blogger friend Karen, the 

Vintage Bag Lady

who lives in Washington, has just posted this great pic

 of the cultivator disc we have at the shop.

She was hoping to come down this summer, 

but she could not wait to get hers, so I shipped it.

Now, those of you who are visiting my site are wanting

Yummy White Finds

Recent buying trip at Portland Expo center,

and shops on the way home.

Love this chippy white scale...

Got this big sign.....fun.....simple...

and this screen door with a round top.

First I have ever seen.
Just had to have it!

And from other shopping trips:

 Sweet creamy ornate little comb,

with it's own case.

 piano keys from a little 12" play piano.

And this funnel.

White enamel, with perfect chippiness.

New Treasures

Not much time for blogging these days.

.but I will show you some of my latest finds.

See that black iron 'basket' the shoe forms are in??

I think it is a part of an old stove...

love it as a basket.

Here is a sweet piece of furniture.

 I get to decide whether to paint it or leave it.

And how about a wheelbarrow full of 'junk'.

Good ol' rusty junk.

My kind of fun!!

 

and love this 6 drawer file.

 

but my FAVE find was this typewriter.

Bought it cause I love the color, and knew it would sell well.

But now I found out it is worth over $200!!!

That made that blue even prettier than before. =)

Old Radio.....A Great Find

I found this cool old radio..... This is the dial.

volume...

off/on switch..

info about speaker....

huge tubes....like 4" long!!

A Bit of Pink Heaven Project Reveal

Ele, at

"A Bit of Pink Heaven"

has some wonderful fun going on at her place.

She put out an Artist Call...

(she sends out goodies and you create with them)

And I responded, and here are some pics of what I created.

here are bits and pieces of the one that is done.

Most of what I used was in the goody box, but I did add

one of my flowers....

 I used some little snippets of lace I had...

 and buttons...

 

and this is a piece of wire from a typewriter,

 easily bent into a heart...

Love the beautiful paper she sent....

.and cute little "adore" ticket.

And look at this pin she sent. So wonderful!!

 This hand stamped ribbon is from

Owen Acres .

Lots of wonderful treasures on that site.

And here is my finished piece.

It was fun and interesting working with things someone else provided.

The burlap, paper, tags, and wonderful pin were from Ele.

I tried to add as little of my own things as possible.

A bit of doily, my flower, and some buttons and lace.

so fun!!!
