Silver Sunday, Sweet and Simple.

A box of treasures.
(not going to tell you what I paid for this.
You would just be sick you missed it!)

Silver serving spoons.

You know the serving spoons are going to be nest easels.....
like this one.

And in the same box were a bunch of butter knives.

I just love the rust and patina on this one.

And look at the handles.
Such sweet detail.

Love this piece.
Not silver, but pewter.
An old candle holder.
Well, supposed to be.
And a tiny silver (tin?) plate, about 4" across.

But, you know what I will use it for.

Yep! Gonna' put a nest on it. =)

Thanks for joining in on Silver Sunday.
Be sure to get on over to see all the other beautiful pieces at
Gypsy Fish Journal.
And scroll through the rest of her beautiful blog too.

Have a super Sunday.

Looks like you had a mission and scored! Love all your old silver and the way you will be using the silver stand for a nest! HSS

I constantly look for old silver, but I just don't find any. The nest in the spoon is just too cute. The knives are wonderful too. The pewter and the tiny plate will look fabulous with a nest on it. What a great idea. Hugs, Marty

Hi Barbara Jean,
You certainly found some pretty, old and tarnished silverware. I just know you are going to pretty them up with the bird's nests.
Can't wait to see them.
