More Easter Cards, and Tea Bag Rose Bouquet.

More Easter cards.
Simple pieces of lace, and print outs from computer.
I usually fancy up the edge of the cards with scissors,
and do the same pattern on the edges of the envelopes.
It's the extra little things that make them special.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love this flag postcard.
I got a stack of vintage (1908-1917) postcards
that were my Grandpa's.
I'm showing you the most interesting,
and puzzling, ones.
This is a coffee advertisement.
It was in the stack of postcards.
Very interesting.
Sorry, I could not get these postcards to turn around no matter what I did.
Take a look at these 2 sideways ones.
Are they a little 'sad' to you?
I looked for the longest time before I figured them out,
then I was sad I had.
Why would they make Easter cards like these?
Do you see what I am talking about?
In the one above a rabbit is cooking up an egg.
By the tears on the mama chicks face,
it was one of her babies. Sad. =/
And in this one,
the chicks have pushed the baby/doll out of it's
stroller so they could have a ride.
Look at the eyes of the chick in the stroller.
What is with these anyway?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the bright side...
Three or more Tea Bag Roses in a bouquet.
A sweet gift for a friend.

Here is a thrifty find.
I got this whole set of dishes, minus cups,
and a couple of broken pieces.
I looked them up on line and just 1 dinner plate was $18.00.
I only paid a bit more than that for ht whole set!

I love the teabag roses! You're right, the cards are sad...esp. the chicken watching one of its babies being scrambled up!

oh my Barbara. Those cards are bizarre, but I suppose that might be why they were saved. They are amusing although morbid. :)

Your little music nest with the tiny eggs sits cozily in the corner of my piano where I can see it every day. :)

Yes, I see what you mean about the post cards. I have noticed from books of poetry and cards etc. that they seemed to be in a very dark frame of mind back then. I am not sure what it was all about...but it was frightening. Lots about cruelty, death and dying. Really odd.
Actually, not so different than now. We just don't move in those circles but just look in the paper and on television.
They dwell on the terrible things, always on death, and bad things. So...times have not changed so much...just the way they go about showing that side of people.
Yikes!
Interesting cards!
Hugs and love! :)

The plates and the tea bag roses are very pretty. I didn't even realize those were tea bags until I read the post! They looked like dried flowers to me!

I have never seen Easter cards like that, quite bizarre, and quite scary in a way. Somebody with a nasty little streak must have designed those.
Now, your teabag roses on the other hand are just delightful. What a sweet little bouquet!
