Cottage Whites and Other Treasures

It is part of a loom....love it!!) SOLD, sorry.

Decided to add a little 'color' by 

putting this black scale in the room too.

Thinking Outside the "Wire Urn"?

I'm not sure what you call these "containers".

but I call them wire urns......

I love this one; unique, cream, a tiny bit shabby...

I use them for lots of things in my little store.

This one has been full of rolled up music, or dictionary pages, or filled with doilies.

Or just sitting with nothing in it it is lovely.

But I decided to try something new....

I turned it upside down to use it as a "cloche" of sorts.

I put a doily and one of my handmade nests on top,

an old clock face, and "other treasures" inside at the bottom,

and laid another nest (in a coin purse) at the base.

Also added one of  my little Tea Bag Rose Bouquets.

It is so fun and different. Love it!!

What else could we put under there?

Or maybe it would be a great base for a cake plate....

Here is just a bit of something from home.

I do not decorate much here, but have some special pieces I like to play with...

tea pot,

  old lock and keys....white buttons I love....

and another nest. Can you tell I love nests???

White Wednesday Pumpkin and More

 I have good news..and bad news.....

 The good news is...I got this terrific metal box.....

for only $1.00.

 look at all the ways it could be used for display.

cubbies to set things in, and a little shelf on top....

sideways, it has cute little shelves....

 another way to have cubbies.....

Bad news ...the guy emailed me and said it was not supposed to be sold. =(

wah, wah, wah!!!! (he had my email cause his wife is a customer at my store...)

His wife sold it by accident and it goes with some mechanics stuff.

enough bad news: good news....

I got another pumpkin done.

I think Ilike it the very best...

but then I think I say that with each one. =)

It is white velour, with hand made white doily

(made by my Mom)

Some crinkle seam binding, and some bling.

  

and here it is in a little vignette.

 

and here is just a silly little idea..

an old tool belt with crow and pumpkin in it.

You can make anything Fall just by adding some fun!!

White Wednesday Rustic Fun

 Here are my fun White Wednesday treasures.

An old lumber yard apron....

Thought maybe fun with straw and a pumpkin in it.

(thinking Fall girls)

 This is a really cool folding mason's yardstick.

One side is regular inches..

 the other for spacing masonry. cool huh?

 Do you think this is  a razor?

It looks like it but I cannot figure out how blade was attached.
Very old.

 Just got this perfectly shabby, rusty, white cage.

 This is a (sideways) Dentist Lab appointment calender

from 1960.

 

This is one of 38 license plates I bought in a big box.

They have the lights brackets to attach to your car too.

A great way to display them.

 

and this is just a little wire basket that had some kind

of pots with candles in them. I ditched the candles,

and will use the baskets for something else.

Any ideas???
 They are about 4x8" with 2 round rings where candles sat.

Have been finding awesome treasures for the store...

just not any more white ones....

Shabby Scale White Wednesday

 This is part of my collection of scales at the store.

I love old crusty, rusty anything....

 This scale is about as rusty as it gets....

and still have any white left on it.

Only one I have ever seen like it.

white are my faves....

 This scale is black, but love the rusty white face on it.

 and the lettering on the side. (white) =)

Very unique.

 Most scales, no matter what color,

have a white face on them.

 LOVE this big old scale....
