Clocks, and Radios, and Other Things I Love

that I can never seem to resist buying.

This wonderful old clock even works.
has key and all.
Isn't it beautiful?
 love the face......
and on some, the crustier and older the better.
No one seems to care if they work or not.
just love to display them. like me. =)
On the left in this pic is not a clock,
but an old sports timer. And it works! a loud buzzer though.

I love how you can just add a clock to any old display and it makes it special.

Now to old radios, another fave.

Love this will all the buttons on each side.
again, does not seem to matter to most if they work or not...
They just love the old look of them.
I think this one is much more than a radio.
Click on teh pic to make it bigger,
then see if you can tell me what it is?

Here is one more old radio and I'll be done for today.
Love the rounded edges on this one....
It is an old battery operated Farm radio...
This one can easliy be made to work again

someone elses project though, not mine.=)

I guess I said "other things I love" too, but will save those for another day.

Thanks for visiting.
 be blessed

Beautiful Book Pictures, Watches & Clocks

Well, it did not matter what I did to these pictures.....
they just would not turn right side up.......
So here they are in all their old cuteness.

And a few new watches too.

More pictures from this beautiful book

love this Mother & Daughter playing piano......
and, oh so sad....
even so, most beautiful work.

Time. Too much? Too little?

Time.
I seem to be obsessed with watches, clocks,
and anything to do with time right now.
Maybe it is because there does not seem to be enough of it.
Or, maybe it is just because I do not use what I have wisely.
I use watches in my art.
Like this framed piece I call my
"Hinge" Art.

And here is a clock face I did from a free
graphic on the internet.
Can you see what is wrong with it?
Now look. Did you see it?

Yep, the words are upside down.
Good thing it is just a piece of card stock on a wood circle.
I can just put another face over it.
Speaking of time,
here is another 'new' clock I found.

I'm going to look up Sessions.
It is a new name to me.
And here is a vintage Bambi watch.
I found these on line selling for up to $50!
Need to get a battery and see if it works.
Well, so much for time. I am out of it for this post.

For those of you looking for some Spring creativity,
how about these treasures.
(yes, these are from last year.
New items coming soon.
Tax season you know.)

This is a tiny cloche on a glass base.
Only4" high.
And nest is less than 2".

How about a collage in pretty blue frame?

spoon easels with nests on them. Fun!!
(I make the tiny eggs out of dough art)
( nest tutorials on side bar)

Blessings and have a wonderful week

Too Many Clocks?

OH NO!
Do we have too many clocks?

My sweet fella and I were talking about a show
about a woman who was a hoarder.
I mentioned that he should be glad I buy for the store,
and not just bring it all home and keep it.
He said, "Is that right?"
He started looking around the room.
I said, "What?"
"Clocks", he said.
How many clocks do we have?
So I began to take pictures, and count.
Above, the keepsake clock.
One my friend made years ago for me.

And the cute iron clock in the dining room.

The clock on the living room wall.
(so we can see time to check TV schedule.)

The clock on the other wall in living room.
(It looks cute from outside.)

The clock in the family room.

One in sewing room.

Old, old clock I painted years ago.
In main bathroom.

One in the study.
And then this one again.
It is in our little bathroom.
That is only 9 clocks!
Not too many.
(of course this does not count the stove clock, and alarm clocks.)

How many clocks do you have in your house?
