New Treasures. Model T Headlamps?

So, I bought these lights and meal pieces...

no clue what they were. 

I thought boat lights of some kind.

Now, someone tole me the one shown below is a Model T headlamp.

Anyone know for sure?? 

The glass has Liberty lens 1920 on it.

Kinda perfectly tarnished to me.

 here is where it latched to something.

And here are some gauges I got at the same time.

No clue if to same car or to something else entirely.

And that is how I shop for my little store.

If I like it, I buy it.....

and hope someone else likes it too.

We have been open for 6 years now, and

steadily growing, so must be some folks out there crazy as me. =)

I'm joining Knick of Time Tuesday today.

Boyco Oil or Gas Can

 This is some loot I got a couple of weeks ago.

Loved all the rusty goodness.

Since that flat red can had a name on it,

I looked it up.

Hard to read, but it says "Boyco"

 Found pics and listing on ebay.

It is a gas can from a Model "T" running board.

Over 80 years old!!

(some sights say oil can, so not sure which it is)

 I'm showing pics of front, back, bottom, and all,

as I'm hoping someone will see it and want to purchase it.

This one has much more paint on it than most of the pics I found.

The only flaw is the little crack in the lid.

I did not fill it to see if it leaked there or not, but can.

This could have been part of set of three: red gas, blue oil, white water.
Very fun to find out about these old things and find a treasure once in awhile.

Bags, and Cars, and Photos

This and that post today:

 I'm making gift bags for the shop now.

Just for my customers when they need one for a gift.

I just made this one a few days ago...

These are the first two I made. 

They sold the day I made them, and

the lady wants more.  so fun!!

I try to keep things simple, and affordable at the store.

New display of old cars.

No idea why I bought them.

I pretty much just buy what catches my eye.

These cars are handmade, and so clever how he used nuts and bolts and washers.

 This red one is a very thin metal. Not sure how it was made, or where.

And just above it to the right is an old cast iron car. 

This is my greatest treasure find this week.

This old album and pics were brought in by one of my customers.

It is what is left from the old album, and not anyone who knows who they are,

so I was able to purchase them from her.

(moral of that story is, label your pics!!)

She had no clue if they were family or who they were.

Here is the album.

It has seen better days, but would make a great project piece.

(I forgot to take a pic of the inside. It has all the little cardboard slots for the pics.)

LOVE the hardware on it.

Five of the pics are tintypes. 

My friend came into the store and I asked if she knew anything about them.

All she knew was they were about $35 a piece when she wanted to buy some!

Wow! Blew my mind. 

(at $8.00 each I'm sure my dealer friends will be scooping those up)

Blue Monday Treasures

I took my folks to the little town they lived in for years.
It was the Blackberry Festival last Saturday.
Of course there was a small town parade.
There must have been 15 old cars in the parade.
So, above is a blue one for you Sally. =)

And here are my folks enjoying the parade.
Nice of my Mom to wear blue for this post. =)

OOOH. Was I droolin' over the blue color on this car.

And here is one of my finds at the sales.
