Shabby White Delights

Love the aged white of vintage clothes.

Here is an order I finished today.
It is a pin cushion using a clear glass
candle holder as a base.

It is hollow inside so I put in a few buttons.

for Christmas Decor....

These can be tag or ornament size, or larger.

Quick how to:

cardboard cut to desired size.
glue on music paper background with glue stick.
Black ribbon or paper down centers.
Add words printed out on computer.
add ribbons, lace etc.

Wah Lah
a bit of sweetness.

I just finished this one today.
Same idea only framed.
Sometimes simple, is best.

Fun Finds Friday

A commercial bread pan.
I've wanted one of these, but too much $.
This was a pretty good deal I think. ($18.00) ?
(if that was not a good deal, don't tell me!!) =)
It will be used for display at the store.

New dishes.
That is a butter dish in the center.
It has a bowl under the lid.

Could not find this pattern on the net so do not know value,
but sure is pretty.

And how cute is this?
It is a music box. The heart turns to make it play.
I saw it at a thrift store.
Fun thing is, I painted it about 18 years ago!
And, it still works!
I had to smile when I saw it.
Hopefully, someone else will take it
home and enjoy it a few more years.

Reminds me of a story.

At a garage sale years ago my sweet fella saw a piece
I had painted years before.
He ever so tenderly and sweetly pointed it out to me.
He thought my feelings would be hurt because
they had my art in their garage sale.
"Heavens no!", I said.
"I enjoyed painting it, they enjoyed having it,
and now someone else will get it."


Such a sweet guy I have.

Inspiration & Ideas

This is Peggy.
Sweet owner of Cricket on the Hearth.
What a cute name!
And Peggy is a really sweet gal.
Her store is downtown Redmond, Oregon,
In what was the lobby of the old Redmond Hotel.
Complete with the motel desk as her check out area!

I was inspired by her ideas in her store.
I hope you will be inspired too.

Look at this display.
Glad to see someone else is crazy about clocks!

Peggy had cloche's all over the store,
with great ideas of things to put in them.

and other goodies in them.
The possibilities are endless!!
(wait till you see what I am putting together!!)

Who would have thought to use a pedestal sink for display.
And love that old scale.

Our Vacation Outdoor Photos

Looking down at another viewpoint.
Pictures just cannot show the force of the water here.

I had to lean way out to get this pic.

This is at the top of the Falls.
Sure does not look like this bit of water could be the source
of the rumbling, roaring falls we saw and heard.

This is from the top of Sahalie Falls,
on the highway going to Redmond.

My sweet fella. =)

There were all kinds of little 'caves' on the trail.

How would you like to crawl down in that green much and mire?

Look what greeted us our first morning.
We opened the door, and there were
5 beatiful deer enjoying
breakfast within 30 feet of our front door.
It did not seem to bother them that we were there.
They just kept grazing, and occasionally
looked up to check on us.
What a wonderful way to start our week of vacation.
