Linens & Lace & Old Needlecraft Books

Bundles of fun!!

I picked up some goodies from and estate sale this weekend.
This is one. A little baggie of lace.

Quite a bundle of treasures here.
Most were 1 or 2 yard pieces, and then
some shorter pieces.

A few of the laces were newer, but most were vintage,
and all very delicate.

In these two picutre, there are two different
pieces of hand crocheted trim.
See the two with the little raised rosettes?

Here is a close up of the rosette trim.
Isn't it wonderful?
Some lace looked like it must have been trim for lingerie.
Very fine, and soft and delicate.

This is another bundle of goods from the Estate sale.
Let's see what we have.

And look at this.
It is a delicate sleeve off a blouse or dress.

Another view.
Can you see up close to the top opening where a piece
of ribbon or trim went through?
It probably made the beautiful bottom ruffle flare out even more.
Going to be tough deciding what to use this on.
I may just enjoy looking at it for awhile. =)
(any ideas??)
Some of you were anxious to see some of the Needlecraft pages.
It makes this a long post, but here goes.
(did not want you to have to wait till next week.) =)
Here are a few wonderful pictures from one of the books.

These are only some of the wonderful pages. I'll
share more another time.

Thanks for coming by this White Wednesday

blessings on your day.

Barbara Jean

Please go say Hi to our wonderful hostess Kathleen,
at Faded Charm.
There's more beautiful whites over there.
